Itinerary
Day 1: HANOI – ARRIVAL (D)
Welcome to Vietnam, transfer of 45 min to your hotel in town, (if it is still early then we can venture out for some culture shock on a short walking tour in the Old Quarter of Hanoi - this is the way to get familiar with the people and the culture). Welcome dinner and water puppet show at night. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: HANOI – city tour (B/L)
Leave at 8:00am, on the three wheels of a cyclo you will be guided through Hanoi history and culture & people and to some other sights. This tour draws to: the Ho Chi Minh complex, Temple of literature, one of the Museums (Ethnology, Fine Art, Army, Women, History...) with lunch at restaurant then back to the Old Quarter for some more exploration.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: HANOI – PERFUME PAGODA -VAN PHUC SILK VILLAGE (B/L)
Depart at 7:30am, 02 hours drive to Perfume Pagoda (75km). Enjoy a 1:30 hours boat trip on Yen (Swallow Bird) stream and visit Trinh temple. Then 2 hours climbing up the mountain to visit pagoda inside Grotto Huong Tich, the most beautiful cave, where people often come to pray for health, luck, ... etc. After lunch, visit Thien Tru Pagoda and scenery of Holiest in the country. Take another 1.5 hours boat trip back to the Wharf. Then ride back with a break at Van Phuc - the Traditional Handicraft Silk Village. Arrive in Hanoi at 19:00pm.
Day 4: Hanoi –TAM COC BICH DONG (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam during the 10th century, so called “Ha Long Bay on land”. On arrival, visit Dinh and Le Dynastic Temple.
In the afternoon, board a small sampan for a spectacular 2 hours cruise through numerous waterways, beautiful rural landscape of limestone cliffs and rice paddies, to the stunning Tam Coc caves.
Dinner and overnight in Ninh Binh.
Day 5: NINH BINH - HALONG (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. We are heading to Ha Long city then boat cruise straight to the Bay with seafood lunch served on the Bay, cruise along the wonderful Bay in the afternoon with cave visit and swimming, dinner and sleep on boat.
Day 6: HALONG – HANOI - DEPARTURE (B/L)
After breakfast, brunch on boat and discover Man’s head Island, Tortoise Island, Luon Cave, Bai Tu Long Bay, Ton Island and Bai Tho Mountain.
End of the cruise at 11:00, having lunch on board before driving back to Hanoi. Transfer directly to the airport for the flight home.
