Itinerary
DAY 01: ARRIVAL – PHNOM PENH (D)
Warmly welcome at Phnom Penh International airport, and then transfer to hotel for check in. Take a half day tour to discover Phnom Penh. Visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Travelers will proceed to visit Independence Monument, National Museum - the distinctive red building with a beautiful Khmer architecture was built in 1917 and contains more than 5000 art objects made of sandstone, bronze, silver, copper, wood. Stop at Old Market, take your time to enjoy a busy market day, communicating with the local sales and all sorts of their products. Dinner at local restaurant.
DAY 02: PHNOM PENH – SIEM REAP (B/L/D)
Transfer to the airport for flight to Siem Reap. Arrival at Siem Reap, meet and transfer to your hotel.
Start to visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom: the South Gate, the Bayon with 54 towers, each carved with four faces of the compassionate Boddhisattva, the nearby temple-mountain of Baphuon, the Royal Enclosure with the Phimeanakas temple, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Lunch at local restaurant
In the afternoon, visit Angkor Vat (early-mid 12th century) dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. This huge temple-mountain, built by King Suryavarman II, is onsidered as the masterpiece of Khmer architecture and art. Sunset from Phnom Bakeng Hill, offering an outstanding view over angkor. Dinner and enjoy Khmer Folk at local restaurant.
DAY 03: SIEM REAP - DEPARTURE (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel then transfer to visit the twin temples of Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda (early 12th century), the unfinished temple-mountain of Ta Keo, the Srah Srang holy pond, Bantey Kdei and then the scenic Ta Prohm monastery, left to the devouring jungle. Lunch at local restarant and free for leisure till transfer to Siem Reap airport for next flight. Ends of tour
